Q: How do I begin the process of working with you?
A: Start by scheduling a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and determine if we’re a good fit. If we agree to move forward, you’ll receive an email via the client portal to complete and sign intake paperwork. Your first session will involve reviewing this paperwork, addressing questions, and setting goals.

Services & Sessions
Q: How long are therapy sessions, and how often will we meet?
A: Individual sessions typically last 45–50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and apply new skills. As progress is made, we may reduce frequency to biweekly (every other week). Your schedule will always be tailored to your needs and treatment goals.
Q: Do you offer in-person sessions?
A: To prioritize accessibility and safety, I offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth services through a secure, encrypted video platform. You can easily join sessions from any device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop) in the comfort and privacy of your home or any location that feels safe to you.
Q: Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
A: Research shows telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy. The secure platform ensures your privacy is protected, and many clients appreciate the flexibility of attending sessions without commuting.
Q: Do you offer sessions in languages other than English?
A: Yes! Services are available in both English and Spanish to ensure comfort and clarity in communication. For Immigration Psychological Evaluations, if you require support in another language, I will coordinate with a certified interpreter fluent in your native language to ensure accurate, culturally sensitive communication. Your confidentiality and understanding remain my top priority.
Payment & Insurance
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Payment is due at the start of each session via most major credit cards through a secure online portal.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide a detailed superbill (medical receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Contact your insurer to confirm your out-of-network benefits, including deductible status, reimbursement rates, and session limits.
Q: What questions should I ask my insurance about out-of-network coverage?
A: When contacting your insurance provider, ask:
- Is my plan calendar-year (Jan–Dec) or fiscal-year (July–June)?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
- What percentage of fees are reimbursed after the deductible?
- Is there a session limit for out-of-network therapy?
- Where should I mail superbills for reimbursement?
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: To avoid being charged the full session fee, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel. This allows me to offer the time to other clients in need.

Q: How do you protect my privacy during telehealth sessions?
A: Your confidentiality is my priority. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform with end-to-end encryption to ensure sessions remain private. You’ll receive simple instructions for accessing the platform securely before your first session.
Q: What if I’m not tech-savvy? Can I still use telehealth?
A: Absolutely! The platform is user-friendly, and I’ll guide you through setup step-by-step. Most clients find it easy to navigate. If technical issues arise, I’ll work with you to resolve them promptly.

Q: Can I adjust the frequency of sessions later?
